I apologize for the lack of updates. I strive to update once every week, but I’ve been so tired lately that I just haven’t had the strength to do any crafts. Work has been crazy for the past months and that combined with the darkness, fog and rain we’ve been having up here this winter is just… Bleh. I hate snow and cold with a passion, so I really shouldn’t complain, but still, SO depressing not seeing the sun for weeks.
I craft to keep myself happy. So, not doing anything creative makes me EVEN MORE tired.
I have so many great ideas right now but can’t do them and that makes me a little depressed. I want to update my blog! :C
But look! I made some new necklaces over Christmas! Yaaay!
The charm explosion necklace in this photo is a favorite. I love it. The bronze charms are c/o wholeport. The other necklace is made from old wooden beads, jump rings and a leather cord.
I think this one is the coolest. I used wooden beads (also c/o wholeport) and some old embroidering thread. The rondelle/donut beads have this viking-feel to them and they work so great with the green beads!
I’m quite pleased with myself that I managed to make a closing like this, with a bead and a loop:
I am not too sure about this last one. Maybe I’m just a little bit tired of the style. Anyway, It’s made entirely out of old broken jewelry.
January will not be as crazy though, so I hope the blog will be back on track soon. First project of the year will be a new blouse. See you soon! :)
P.S I got a tip of a great website this morning. It has a fabric glossary and it’s super-useful! Check out Sir Fabric’s fabric glossary and educate yourself in the wonderful world of fabrics! Dotted Swiss… Dupioni… Foulard… Aaah. ;)
